The micron-level dry fog dust suppression device can produce water spray particulates with a diameter of 1-10 microns, which can effectively adsorb and agglomerate the dust suspending in the air, especially the inhalable dust particulates below 5 microns in diameter. These particulates settle under the action of gravity to achieve dust suppression. The micron-level dry fog dust suppression device has an unimaginable dust suppression ability: Dust control is performed at the point of dust, which is the source of pollution; the water spray particulates are dry fog, forming a dense fog pool at the dust suppression point; the efficiency is high enough to control as much as 96% inhalable dust particulates below 10 microns in diameter, avoiding the hazard of silicosis; low water consumption; material humidity increases by 0.02%-0.05% by weight; material (coal) has no calorific value loss or any secondary pollution; small footprint, convenient operation, fully automatic control; low equipment investment, low operation and maintenance costs; suitable for unorganized emissions, pollution sources in closed or semi-closed spaces, greatly reducing the probability of dust explosions, and reducing the investment of firefighting equipment; the temperature in the workshop is basically unchanged when the device is used in winter (other traditional dust removal devices adopt the principle of negative pressure that takes away a lot of heat in the workshop, so that the heat supply in the workshop has to be increased).
The micron-level dry fog dust suppression device is widely used for unorganized emissions and stationary pollution sources in closed or semi-closed spaces such ports, thermal power, steel, mining, and chemical industries, including dumper room, screening tower, transfer tower, crushing room, loading buildings, ship loading and unloading machines, etc.
Analysis of Application Effect
The main objects of dust treatment are dust particulates below 150μm, especially inhalable dust particulates below 5μm in diameter which cause irreversible damage to the human body and are the main source of occupational diseases such as silicosis.
The successful development of micron-level dry fog dust suppression devices fills the technology, production and application gaps of such equipment in our nation, reduces dust pollution to the atmosphere, improves the surrounding environment and the working environment of field workers, and reduces the occurrence of occupational diseases. It also creates a wide range of social and economic benefits. Take a dumper room (currently equipped with 13 dumper units) as an example.
a. Reduce coal loss. The original water spray and dust suppression device poorly performs in dust suppression. After the monitoring of the coal unloading site by a monitoring center (dumper room), the dust content is 4.75mg/m³, and the average coal dust generated by the unloading pool of each dumper room is about 10 tons per day. A total of 13 dumper units produce about 46,800 tons of coal dust throughout the year. The total loss is 23.4 million Yuan at the unit price of 500 Yuan per ton. After the micron-level dry fog dust suppression device is used, the measured dust suppression capacity is over 90%, and the economic loss of coal is reduced by more than 21.06 million Yuan per year.
b. Reduce water consumption. The original water spray device sprays a large amount of water, resulting in excessively high water content of the raw coal, leading to many customer complaints. Based on 23,000 trains unloaded per year, the original water spray device sprays 20 tons of water per train. After the micron-level dry fog dust suppression device is used, the water volume has been reduced by more than 90%, with only 2 tons of water sprayed per train. The amount of water saved is 410,000 Yuan at the unit price of 1 Yuan per ton of reclaimed water.
c. The extensive use of reclaimed water for dust removal causes a large loss of coal calorific value. Statistics show that 30-50 kcal of coal calorific value is lost for every 1 percentage of increase in coal water content. If 40 kcal is lost out of 6000 kcal of coal calorific value, it amounts to 0.67% of coal loss. Based on an annual throughput of 230 million tons, the annual loss of coal calorific value will lead to a coal loss of 1.541 million tons and a monetary loss of about 700 million Yuan.
d. Reduce labor costs caused by coal pool cleaning. The use of the original water spray and dust suppression device requires a lot of manpower to clean the unloading pool of the dumper room. After the micron-level dry fog dust suppression device is used, there is no need to clean the coal pool frequently, which effectively reduces the labor cost caused by cleaning the coal pool.
